Take part in the EOSC Consultation Day on 18 May 2020

EOSC Consultation Day

Monday 18 May 2020 will host the EOSC Consultation Day, organised by the EOSC Executive Board to present and gather feedback and input from the EOSC stakeholders on all the latest developments of the EOSC Working Groups.

You can register for the Consultation Day only here.

The event will be co-located with the EOSC-hub Week 2020, a public forum bringing together key players in the development of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

Participants will have the opportunity to attend a series of public consultation sessions, and proactively contribute to the work of the EOSC Executive Board and its Working Groups as they work towards the goal of presenting a Minimal Valuable EOSC by the end of 2020. But what will a Minimal Valuable EOSC look like and what will it contain?

The publication of the EOSC Strategic Implementation Plan in July 2019, outlined the main strategic priorities for the EOSC and defined the focus of the EB Working Groups. Almost one year on, the Consultation Day will be an opportunity for the community to take stock of progress.

With a number of key documents having passed through public comment since the last consultation event at the EOSC Symposium (Budapest, November 2019), break-out sessions will be an opportunity for WG chairs and members to cover key topics and chart a course for the rest of 2020.

Key documents include:

With a new WG formed in 2020 on Skills and Training for the EOSC, discussion will also focus on a framework for a sustainable training infrastructure focusing on competences and capabilities to support EOSC in all its phases and ensure its uptake.

The closing session of the day (from 4 to 5 pm CEST) will be fully dedicated to the EOSC stakeholders’ questions: don’t miss the opportunity to make your voice heard. The Executive Board members will be there to clarify all your doubts and answer your questions.
