EOSC Portal - A gateway to information and resources in EOSC
A new video series to showcase the benefits of FAIR Open Data was released online by the PaNOSC project (Photon and Neutron Open Science Cloud).
With these videos, PaNOSC and its sister project, ExPaNDS aim to raise awareness and contribute to make data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) for national and European photon and neutron (PaN) sources.
The first video explains the main goals of the projects, the second illustrates the benefits of open data for the users of free electron laser, synchrotron light and neutron sources. The third video explains what photon and neutron facilities are, what they are used for, and for which scope.
PaNOSC brings together six strategic European research infrastructures (ESRF, CERIC-ERIC, ELI Delivery Consortium, the European Spallation Source, European XFEL and the Institut Laue-Langevin – ILL, and the e-infrastructures EGI and GEANT, with the aim to contribute to the construction and development of the EOSC (European Open Science Cloud).
ExPaNDS is the (EOSC) Photon and Neutron Data Service. This project, a collaboration between 10 national Photon and Neutron Research Infrastructures (PaN RIs) as well as EGI, aims to deliver standardised, interoperable, and integrated data sources and data analysis services for Photon and Neutron facilities.
