In a collaborative effort, the European e-infrastructures and the Science Clusters have released a joint position paper called “EOSC – a tool for enabling Open Science in Europe” that provides a common statement on the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and on how to make the EOSC more user centric.
The statement called for research-oriented services, trust-based open access, collaboration support and a focus on sustainability.
The H2020 Science Cluster projects and the European e-infrastructures believe that the uptake by researchers is the KPI against which the success of the EOSC will be measured.
Behind the position paper are the Science Clusters ENVRI-FAIR, EOSC-LIFE, ESCAPE, PaNOSC, SSHOC which bring together 72 world-class research infrastructures from the ESFRI roadmap and beyond to work on FAIR data management and connecting their user communities to the EOSC as well as the European e-infrastructures EGI, EUDAT, GÉANT, and OpenAIRE which provide inclusive services across Europe and beyond to the benefit of science.
