CompBioMed Conference will return on 15-17th September 2021, in the online vFairs conference platform and will again address all aspects of the rapidly burgeoning domain of computational biomedicine, from genome through organ to whole human and population levels, embracing data driven, mechanistic modelling and simulation, machine learning and combinations thereof.
Our theme for 2021 is: Building the Virtual Human:How to bring experimental research into your digital twin. We will be welcoming contributions from academic, clinical and industrial participants alike.
The conference is organised by the CompBioMed Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Computational Biomedicine, aimed at nurturing and promoting the uptake and exploitation of high performance computing within the biomedical modelling community.
We are delighted to announce that registration for the CompBioMed Conference 2021 is now officially open. This 2nd edition of the conference series takes place online using the vFairs platform which provides the interactions you would expect from an in-person conference (talks, posters, booths, participant interactions through chat functionality, etc) and features unique to the online format (gamification, leaderboards, digital literature repository, etc). Plus, you can enjoy all of this from the comfort of your own home, office, park, coffee shop etc. The dedicated website for the conference can be found here:
We have 3 confirmed plenary speakers, 15 symposia, and an International Organising Committee of renowned experts. The confirmed plenary speakers are:
- Professor George Karniadakis (The Charles Pitts Robinson and John Palmer Barstow Professor of Applied Mathematics and Engineering, Brown University)
- Gernot Plank, PhD MSc (Professor of Computational Cardiology, Gottfried Schatz Research Center – Biophysics, Medical University of Graz)
- Professor Lucile Houyel (Medical Doctor at Hôpital Universitaire Necker, Paris)
The call for abstracts is open now and can be accessed at our Linklings page
. Submission deadline is 28th June 2021.
Being an online conference we have been able to reduce the registration costs compared to an in-person event:
