The Open Clouds for Research Environments (OCRE) project aims to give the European research community access to commercial digital services (IaaS, SaaS and PaaS cloud services), as well as Earth Observation (EO) services.


OpenAIRE-Advance facilitates the move to a more open and reproducible scientific landscape by offering a unique set of services to embed Open Science into researcher workflows to promote opening up, sharing and reusing of research outcomes.


OpenRiskNet has the objective to develop an open e-Infrastructure providing resources and services to a variety of communities requiring risk assessment, including chemicals, cosmetic ingredients, therapeutic agents and nanomaterials.


The Photon and Neutron Open Science Cloud (PaNOSC) is a cluster of ESFRI Research Institutes which proposes to align the efforts of the existing and new photon and neutron sources to make FAIR data a reality and link up to the European Open Science Cloud.


PRIMAGE proposes an open cloud-based platform to support decision making in the clinical management of two paediatric cancers, Neuroblastoma (NB), the most frequent solid cancer of early childhood, and the Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) the leading cause of brain tumour-related death in children.


PROCESS is focused on helping key players in the new data-driven ecosystem: top-level HPC, e-infrastructures and big data centres; scientific communities and companies with mission-critical extreme-scale data challenges.

RDA Europe

RDA Europe 4.0, the European plug-in to RDA (the Research Data Alliance), focuses on the need for open and interoperable sharing of research data and builds social, technical and cross-disciplinary links to enable such sharing on a global scale.


SSHOC will realise the social sciences and humanities part of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) by offering a scalable and flexible access to research data and related services adapted to the needs of the SSH community.


TRIPLE (Targeting Researchers through Innovative Practices and multiLingual Exploration) TRIPLE will help social sciences and humanities (SSH) research in Europe to gain visibility, to be more efficient and effective, to improve its reuse within the SSH and beyond, and to dramatically increase its societal impact. It will be a dedicated service of the OPERAS research infrastructure and will become a strong service in the EOSC marketplace.


VirtualBrainCloud aims to develop a cloud-based platform for biomedical research and clinical decision-making that helps to improve early patient-specific diagnosis and treatment of NDD and has substantial potential for significant positive socioeconomic impact.

XDC - eXtreme DataCloud

The Horizon2020 eXtreme DataCloud – XDC project aims at developing scalable technologies for federating storage resources and managing data in highly distributed computing environments, as required by the most demanding, data-intensive research experiments in Europe and worldwide.
